Bio
I am a technician/mechanic by trade for the last 30+ years with gas, diesel and alternative fuels. For 17 of those years, I owned my own shop which focused on the repair of autos, trucks and heavy equipment, and for 7 of those years I was also an Adjunct professor for evening classes in the Automotive Technology Dept. at Benjamin Franklin Institute in Boston. A few years ago, I decided to change direction in life and move myself closer to what I truly love doing, which is being on the water and boating. I closed my shop and downsized my life's overhead. I obtained my captains license through New England Maritime in Hyannis MA, and I attended and graduated the Chapman's School of Seamanship's Yacht and Small Craft Surveying Program.
I've been working for the past few years for myself as a mobile marine tech, delivery captain, personal instructor and a marine surveyor. I provide personal instruction in boat handling on your vessel or mine. I can also provide you with personal education on how to do basic repairs, systems operations and problem diagnosis/repairs when you're out on the water should you encounter a problem underway. I am available for deliveries/relocations alone, or with you. Afterall, who wouldn't like to have a technician with them when moving a vessel over a long distance or just picking up a "new to you" vessel.
